During our 2024 Rebel Read-a-Thon, 187 students participated and together read a total of 132,592 minutes!! 151 students earned a t-shirt by turning in reading logs all 3 weeks. Each class had Top 3 Minute winners. Our Top Ten overall winners were: Amelia Carlson, Amelia Trippany, Brooklynn Mascarenas, Damon Koecher, Dane Engleson, Emma Schaefer, Gabriella Mascarenas, Layla Prachar, Reed Balut, and Wyatt Frisch. Ten classes earned the 75% Participation Movie where they will get popcorn and a drink. Mrs. Engleson's 4th Grade Class had the top minutes and keeps the Trophy for another year! Huge shout out to our PTO for sponsoring the Read-a-Thon!!!

The Minnesota Twins baseball season starts in just a few weeks. The Twins are piloting a school fundraiser program that we’re trying out this spring. Saturday May 4th has been selected for the fundraiser for Willow River Public Schools. $2 from each ticket purchased through the link below will go back to support education in the district.

Our Large Animal Science class toured a local dairy operation. The owners of Birch Creek Dairy, near Denham, lead students around their farm discussing everything from dairy nutrition and feed inputs, to milking cows and raising newborn calves.
