In Homer’s, The Odyssey, the hero fires an arrow through 12 axe handles to prove his identity and win back his life after being gone for 20 years. Mrs. Kaz’s 9th grade students set out to try this feat by researching paper airplane design and having a contest to see who could send their plane through six hula hoops. We didn’t have a winner, but a few of them almost made it!
