To celebrate American Education Week, Mobile Ed Productions' Sky Dome Planetarium visited Willow River Area School presenting to grades K-12. The students experienced a simulated tour of the solar system and were introduced to a "star filled" sky learning about stars of the Northern Hemisphere exactly as they appear tonight. Through the generosity of our community, the American Education Week Committee was able to bring this event to our school.

Today Mrs. Kaz's college-level Creative Writing class enjoyed the warm weather in the school forest. After a quick trail walk, they tried out the new outdoor classroom for a poetry lesson and writing workshop. The covered classroom is going to add many innovative learning opportunities for our students and staff! We are so grateful to the community for making this possible.
