Rebels Track and Field Athletes are going to State!! State will take place on Thursday, June 6th, 3:30 start time at St. Michael-Albertville High School.
The girls 4x200m relay team were crowned Section Champions with a time of 1:49.83. The relay members are Jocelyn Mundell, Maddie Volk, Jorja Jusczak, and Tyler Orvedahl. This is the second year in a row for the 4x200m relay to qualify.
The boys 4x100m relay team was also victorious with their time of 44.02. They are currently ranked 4th in state with their sub-section time of 43.84. Those relay members are Layne Radzak, Chase Clausen, Jaxsyn Schmidt, and Kaden Robbins.
Another event Champion was Elliott Wasche in the 1600m Run. Elliott ran a time of 4:41.44,
beating the 2nd place finisher by 3 seconds.
The boys will also be sending the 4x200m relay team down to state. They took 2nd place with a time of 1:32.43 which was also good enough to qualify by State Standard. The relay team has the same members as the 4x100, Layne, Chase, Jaxsyn, and Kade.

The Girls 4x400m relay broke a 42 year old record on their way to a 2nd place finish yesterday at the South Sub-Section. The team of Tyler Orvedahl, Maddie Volk, Ava Menten, and Khloey Schmidt ran a time of 4:15.56, surpassing the previous mark of 4:18.20 set back in 1982 by a team of Laureen Fink, Stacia Fink, Rhonda Peterson and Jackie Eckman.
The Girls 4x100m relay team broke a record set last season by India Johnson, Morgan Wigg, Ava Menten and Tyler Orvedahl, running a time of 52.07. Yesterday, the team of Maddie Volk, Tyler Orvedahl, Jorja Jusczak, and Jocelyn Mundell ran a time of 51.64. That time placed the girls 3rd.
