The decision to homeschool your child is a personal decision made by families and parents and the district will support that decision according to the guidelines set forth by the Minnesota Department of Education. The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) requires the district to annually report the status of homeschool students living in our district. It is very helpful to note on the paperwork what grade level you consider your child to be in. Please adhere to the deadlines noted on each form and deliver all of your homeschool forms to the District Office at the Willow River Area School District Office.
At this time, email is the preferred method. Due to Covid-19 we are asking that you do not drop off in person. If you must, you may leave them in the 24 hour drop box located inside in the entryway of Door A. Office staff will not be able to assist you with the paperwork.
Please see the links below to the MDE website regarding homeschool and the necessary forms that need to be completed and submitted to the Willow River Area School District Office no later than October 1, 2020.
